Anwar Kanaan Company was established in Nablus, Palestine, in 1952 as a leading olive oil soap manufacturer. Their journey began with the production of traditional Nabulsi olive oil soap, a product deeply rooted in the heritage of Nablus since the 14th century. Anwar Kanaan soap factory is one of the most renowned Nabulsi soap factories that has sustained its legacy over the decades.
Our History
1952 - Establishment: Anwar Kanaan Company was founded, launching its first product: the traditional olive oil Nabulsi bar soap.
1963 - New Factory Construction: Built a new soap factory to meet the rising demand for our products.
1969 - Olive Oil Kernel Extraction Plant: Established a plant dedicated to extracting oil from olive kernels for soap production.
1980 - Technological Advancements: Enhanced kernel drying, bleaching, evaporation, and solvent extraction systems. Steam boiling was also incorporated into the soap manufacturing process.
1998 - Closure of Kernel Oil Extraction Plant: Faced with difficulties in obtaining necessary solvents, the kernel oil extraction plant was closed.
2000 - Carbon Research Collaboration: Conducted a research project in collaboration with An-Najah National University to explore the feasibility of converting burnt and extracted olive kernels into activated carbon.
2014 - Development of Skin Care Products: Developed a new family of olive oil-based skin care products, further diversifying our product lines.
2024 - Introduced to New Markets: Exported for the first time to the United States, distributed by the Palestinian Soap Cooperative. For the first time this quality soap is available to a larger audience.
