Nablus Rainbow Kufiya
Nablus Rainbow Kufiya
Kufiyas for All
Working with the manufacturer, we priced this kufiya to be accessible to all. A modern twist on the traditional design, the rainbow kufiya blends the vibrant heritage of Palestinian textiles with fresh colors.
Anyone can wear a kufiya to show their solidarity with the Palestinian people. As a symbol of steadfastness and Palestinian resistance, the kufiya dates back nearly a century to British occupation.
About the Manufacturer
The Nablus Textile Company is one of only two scarf-producing factories in Palestine. Founded in 1950 by the al-Nabulsi family, the Nablus Textile Company has been the long-time and highly acclaimed manufacturer of uniforms for school age kids in Nablus.
The scarves are thick, soft, and made from regionally-sourced fabrics: 65% cotton and 35% polyester. Size: 48" x 48"

An Iconic Design
The kufiya's design represents Palestinians' connection to their land. It is embroidered with three patterns:
• Sailors' fishnets in the Mediterranean Sea
• Leaves of ancient, resilient olive trees
• Bold lines representing historic trade routes passing through the Crossroads region, crucial for cultural and economic exchange between continents
Very light and breathable, keeps you warm in a chilly breeze if tucked into your coat collar, but not too heavy to wear in warmer weather or to shelter from bright sunshine. The rainbow pattern is wonderfully cheerful, and it goes with any outfit! Beautifully woven, and shipping/duties were a breeze (even for international delivery to Canada). Package included a beautiful poem as an added bonus. If you’re dithering about a purchase, go for it, and treat yourself — or give one to a friend. We could all use a little extra warmth and love these days.
Gorgeous scarf, well made with love and pride. I will be so proud to wear this and show my solidarity
