The craftspeople of Ceramic Al Fakhouri in Al Khalil, Palestine manufactured and painted this handcrafted ceramic soap dish.
The Fakhouri family has passed down their craft through generations — their name comes from the Arabic "fukhar", meaning clay. Today, their shop persists through the escalating challenges of life under segregation and checkpoints, and a temporary move due to increasingly militarized conditions in the city this past year.
This soap is great! I use it every night, and I live in a very dry climate. It's nourishing and refreshing.
